Pelvis Workshop

Date:   Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd August 2008   Location:   Edinburgh

During this weekend workshop we will look at the Pelvis. This will include;

  • Anatomy of the pelvis, the pelvic girdle and the sacro-iliac joints
  • How to assess the pelvis both clinically and in a functional environment
  • Mobilisations to increase the health of the pelvic joints
  • Soft tissue technique to specifically work on the musculature of the pelvis and the muscles that act upon the pelvis
  • Exercises that will stabilise the pelvis and the pelvic girdle

The workshop will include lectures on the specific anatomy of the pelvic region and lectures on specific lesions and common presentations that the therapist will see in clinic. The practical sessions will include both exercise and soft tissue techniques that will affect the pelvis and the pelvis girdle. We hope that the workshop will give attendees the practical skills to make more progress with pelvic problems as well as the theoretical knowledge to understand why their assessments and treatments are effective.
