Beyond Stripping Workshop

During this full day workshop we will look at soft tissue techniques that will increase the therapists repertoire . This will include;
- Anatomy of fascia
- Fascial release techniques
- Mobilisations
- Myofascial stretching techniques
- Skin rolling
- Working the Cranial Fascia
- Positions to access difficult muscles
- Muscle release techniques
- The use of massage tools
Many therapists feel restricted by their reliance on stripping as the massage technique of choice. In this workshop we hope to broaden the therapists toolbox of soft tissue techniques. This will allow the therapist to have greater skills in treating soft tissue problems. We will introduce techniques that work at all levels of the fascia from superficial to deep and we will show how to access some of the muscles often neglected by many therapeutic modalities.
Booking
This workshop is only open to soft tissue therapists who have a minimum qualification of Remedial & Sports Massage. If you would like to attend but are unsure if it is appropriate then please get in touch. The workshops are designed to give you skills you can use immediately, whether it is on yourself or on clients.
The cost is £100 for the full day workshop.
Water, tea, coffee, healthy snacks and biscuits will be provided, but please bring along a packed lunch. Ikea and Sainsbury’s are close by if you need to buy food, car required.
